BlockBeats News, July 25th, according to The New York Times report, one of the largest luxury real estate brokerage firms in the United States is establishing a dedicated department to allow buyers to use digital currency to purchase real estate.

This company is Christie's International Real Estate, becoming the first mainstream real estate brokerage firm to establish a dedicated team to handle transactions using only cryptocurrency payments. The team consists of lawyers, analysts, and cryptocurrency experts, specifically responsible for transactions where both buyers and sellers exclusively use digital currency, with no reliance on banks. With cryptocurrency continuing to rapidly enter the mainstream financial sector, Christie's move marks a significant shift.

The CEO of Christie's Los Angeles subsidiary, Aaron Kirman, stated that he is currently in talks with several major banks to facilitate accepting cryptocurrency as a payment method for property transactions requiring financing. He anticipates that within five years, cryptocurrency transactions will account for more than one-third of the total volume of residential real estate transactions in the United States.
